Creating Clarity and Success in Diverse Financial Situations

As a Chartered Accountant with a background in both private and not for profit sectors, I look forward to helping you find clarity and success in your financial situation.

My passion for finding clarity and success in diverse and complex financial situations was honed during my years of CFO duties at Confederation Centre of the  Arts; as a board member for Credit Union Atlantic; and particularly during my tenure as General Manager of Neptune Theatre.  In my eleven years at Neptune, I led a team that helped the organization generate ten consecutive operating surpluses; and transform from a position of financial instability to one of financial security.  My early career was grounded as a Senior Manager of the national accounting firm, Grant Thornton.

Now, a new chapter in my career has begun as a financial planner, where I am putting my skill set previously reserved for multimillion dollar organizations, to work for you, because I believe a well-organized approach to your financial affairs can have a positive impact on your life.

Some people find dealing with finances daunting.  I thrive on sorting out financial situations (even complex ones), collaborating on defining what is really important, devising a plan of action and then leading a team to implement solutions. In fact, one of the things that attracted me to financial planning is its holistic nature and the need to understand a client's whole situation.  We start by building an understanding of your specific circumstances, identify your goals and wishes and then figure out the best plan of action for you.

If that sounds pretty straightforward, it is meant to be.  I was brought up on a farm in rural PEI where integrity, hard work and the importance of "saying what you mean and delivering on your promise" were imprinted on me.  Since then I have travelled the world and been educated in business and the arts at universities as close as Saint Mary's and as far as Harvard.  However, those "down home on the farm" values still ring true to me.
