The RRSP contribution limit for your current tax year is found on the previous years Notice of Assessment. Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will send you a statement of the amount owing or amount paid, that is your notice of assessment. Keep an eye on the very bottom line that shows unused RRSP room which is RRSP you have invested and not yet claimed in your tax return.
Make sure your advisor has a copy of your Notice of Assessment. |
