Nigel has spent his business career in the financial services industry, serving initially in senior management roles with several major international insurance companies. This included a two year assignment in New Zealand where he had overall responsibility for the company's investment and pension portfolios. As a result of this in-depth exposure to investment management, Nigel made a switch from general insurance to the wealth management industry where he has worked since 1995.

Outside of work, Nigel believes passionately in supporting the local business community. He has been a Director of the Surrey Board of Trade since 2001. He was President of the Surrey Board of Trade in 2010-2011 and is now the Chairperson for their International Trade Team. Nigel is also the President of the South Fraser Community Services Foundation, Past President of the Vancouver Orpheus Male Choir and former Treasurer/Director of the White Rock Children's Choir. Nigel is married with two daughters.

Nigel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional (CFP), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Fellow of the Canadian Insurance Institute (FCIP). Nigel's background and extensive business experience gives him a uniquely broad perspective on the financial challenges faced by business entrepeneurs. This wealth of knowledge also gives him the ability to craft solutiuons that work.
