Biography
Thomas P. Cooney, B.Comm., R.F.P., CFP
For more than 20 years, Tom has been in the financial services profession helping individuals and families achieve their financial and lifestyle goals one step at a time. One of his primary objectives is to provide high-quality advice and integrated wealth management solutions that simplify and enhance the quality of his clients' lives.
Among the greatest strengths he brings to his client relationships are his knowledge, integrity and commitment to exceptional service. Tom holds the Registered Financial Planner (R.F.P.), the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and the Chartered Financial Planner designations. Tom was a co-founder of the City Centre Mississauga office in September 1994, where he shares the Branch Manager responsibilities with his colleague, Ivar Grimba.
A strong contributor to the community, Tom is a Board of Director member and Vice President of The Community Foundation of Mississauga. He has also raised funds for The Terry Fox Foundation for the past 21 consecutive years and has been an In-School Mentor with Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Peel. Married to his wife Stella, he is an avid marathon runner (he's completed 20 marathons, 9 of which were in Boston) and an active member of Toastmasters at the City Centre Toastmasters Club (Past President).
Mary Lynn Harding
Mary Lynn joined Assante Capital Management Ltd. in 1998. She brings to the team 10 years of experience in communications and public relations and a strong administrative background. Her commitment and dedication to client service is demonstrated through past involvement in Assante's Administrative Council Team, whose mandate is to provide recommendations on key initiatives that are designed to improve the company's support programs for clients. She has also supported Tom in his charitable fundraising projects for the past 11 years.
