ROLE OUTLINE:

Are you a self-reliant, motivated individual who has a desire to work in the financial services industry?  We are a full-service wealth management firm located in downtown Vancouver looking for someone who takes ownership of tasks, exhibits impeccable attention to detail and shows excellent judgment.  If this sounds like you, then we have an opportunity that may be right for you.

This is a full-time administrative role with a competitive compensation and benefits package; you will be assisting two senior assistants with their day-to-day operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the senior assistants in the performance of their daily duties
  • Maintain client files (paper and electronic) for meeting preparation and post-meeting follow-up
  • Preparing paperwork and data entry of new accounts
  • Coordinate and follow up on client investment trades with the corporate trading supervisor
  • Organizing quarterly statement and newsletter mail-outs
  • Scanning and e-filing client documents and forms
  • Maintain and update client investment spreadsheets for analysis
  • Maintain and update the contact management database

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mutual Fund license – preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of computer software and programs used in the financial industry, including MS Word, MS Excel, contact management software and back office software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Work experience in the financial services industry-mandatory
  • Organizational and administrative skills required to perform activities with varying degrees of priority
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with handling figures a must
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Takes initiative
  • A positive, upbeat attitude
