Assante Asset Management appoints Epoch Investment Partners and Trilogy Advisors as sub-advisors to Assante US Equity Diversified Pool
Toronto, ON - April 5, 2005 - Assante Asset Management Ltd., the investment management arm of Assante Wealth Management, announces the appointment of Epoch Investment Partners Inc. and Trilogy Advisors, LLC as sub-advisors to the Assante US Equity Diversified Pool in the Assante Optima Strategy program. The new appointments are effective after the close of business on April 8, 2005.

Assante US Equity Diversified Pool
The Assante US Equity Diversified Pool invests in large cap U.S. equities and is diversified across a variety of industry sectors and two investment styles - growth and value. Epoch Investment Partners will be sub-advisor to the pool’s value portion and Trilogy Advisors to the growth portion.

Epoch Investment Partners was formed in 2004 and has $1 billion of assets under management in U.S. equities. Epoch Investment Partners specializes in value investing. David Pearl, Managing Director and Head of US Equities, and William W. Priest, Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager, will manage Epoch’s segment with David Pearl assuming the role of lead manager.
