Cathie Hurlburt R.F.P.®, FMA, CFP®, BBA, CLU®, CHS, CFDS

Senior Financial Planner

Cathie’s primary role is to help her clients understand their options, and to guide them, with the wisdom of experience, in the direction that will take them where they want to go.

"Financial planners do much more than manage your investments; our real value is in our advice. We look ahead to see what's coming next, and divide the preparations into manageable chunks. We also ask, “What are the potential consequences – good and bad – of your options?” Oh, and before you make a decision, call me first."

A compulsive explainer, Cathie writes everything down on a big Smart Board in her office, shows clients websites, graphs and charts, and won’t let them leave until she really believes that they “get the whole picture”!

She has a particular interest in helping people through life transitions, especially divorce, which can be fraught with emotions, challenges and difficult choices.

She says that the value she and her team provide is “the understanding of what details to pay attention to and how to prioritize them, what to discard; to see what possibilities exist, to figure out how the various pieces of information connect, and to separate facts from emotions.

She also adds, “Sadly, wisdom doesn’t always come along with information!
