CI Assante Wealth Management has been nominated in three categories at the fifth annual Wealth Professional Awards, which recognize the highest standards of excellence in service, innovation and support in wealth management in Canada. The awards will be presented May 30.

Advisor Rob McClelland, of The McClelland Financial Group of Assante Capital Management Ltd., has garnered a nomination for The Mandeville Private Client Inc. Award for Canadian Advisor of the Year. This honour is for outstanding service by an advisor from an advisory firm or team, regardless of business size and model, and is one of the event’s highest accolades. One of the criteria that will be considered is overall client service and relationship management. In addition, The McClelland Financial Group has been nominated for The AGF Award for Engagement, Loyalty & Client Care, which recognizes an advisory team or office that has displayed excellence over the last year in consistent and sustainable customer service standards.

“Although the highest honour typically comes from the clients you work with, it is very nice to be acknowledged within your industry as a leading advisor in Canada,” said Rob. “I have always believed that it was a noble profession and a privilege to be a financial advisor. Things like this do not happen without an engaged team that is committed to looking after the success of our clients. It has also been an extreme honour to be on Canada’s Top 50 advisors list for six years; something that I never take for granted. I owe a large part of my success to having the backing of one of the leaders in financial planning, Assante Capital Management.”

CI Assante Wealth Management is a contender for The Equitable Bank Award for Multi-Office Advisor Network/Brokerage of the Year. This award is bestowed on the outstanding advisory network or brokerage that has displayed excellence over the last 12 months. Some of the criteria that will be examined in determining the winner will be the employee value proposition, overall client service and relationship management and industry reputation. Assante’s philosophy of personalized care and service for clients was recently illustrated in its This is Why We’re Here national campaign, in which actual clients spoke about how a tailored approach to their individual circumstances affected their lives positively.

“CI Assante Wealth Management is honoured to be nominated for the Equitable Bank Award for Multi-Office Advisor Network/Brokerage of the Year, as it speaks to the depth of our team, the continued investment in our business and most importantly, the strength of our advisor teams and their commitment to their clients,” said Sean Etherington, Assante’s President. “As we have showcased in our This is Why We’re Here branding campaign, professional advice and relationships matter and we have 850 advisory teams delivering complete financial advice for Canadian families, business owners and professionals.”

Winners for the prizes will be selected by an 11-member panel of professional jurors from the financial industry, who will review quantitative and qualitative data for each finalist.
