Duncan Presant, CFP Assante Financial Management Ltd. Duncan has been in the financial and investment business since 1979, working in both the financial advisory and real estate brokerage business. In these roles, he has presented a number of seminars to business and other groups, as well as contributing to editorials and articles for national publication. In 1986, he earned the distinction of being one of the first advisors in Canada to obtain his Chartered Financial Planner designation from the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning, and in 1996, the Certified Financial Planning designation from the Canadian Association of Financial Planners (CAFP). He joined Assante Financial Management Ltd. in July 1999, providing integrated wealth management solutions that simplify and enhance the quality of his clients lives. Duncan served on the executive of the Kingston chapter of the CAFP from 1999 until 2003 when the CAFP consolidated into Advocis, an organization of professional financial and insurance advisors. Duncan, along with his wife Joan, and son Clayton, have made Kingston their home for the past 15 years, and he is now actively involved in coaching in the local sporting community.
